Since 1989, HFH Summer Camps have helped over 15,000 campers experience a genuine sleepaway camp experience by accessing the serene nature of Harriman State Park. HFH campers are representative of over 14,000 children who live in New York City’s homeless family shelter system. For many campers, this is their first time outside of New York City, and they are able to explore the great outdoors with activities like swimming and boating in a mountain lake, sleeping in cabins, and telling stories around a campfire. Additional activities such as dance, theater, nature, and sports are aimed at keeping children stimulated, learning, and active during their stay.
HFH is looking forward to hosting HFH Summer Camps for the first time since 2019. There will be two sessions for ages 8 – 11.
Session 1: July 1 – July 8
Session 2: July 15 – July 22
